The police in the Netherlands have launched a broad investigation following an attack on a synagogue in Rotterdam, where four young people were arrested near another synagogue after being observed driving erratically. The suspects, aged between 17 and 19, did not provide a clear reason for their actions.

Authorities have increased security measures around synagogues to prevent further incidents. Dutch Minister of Justice, David van Weel, condemned the attack, emphasizing that he will not tolerate antisemitism and violence, while the mayor of Rotterdam, Carola Schouten, expressed concern for the Jewish community. The president of the synagogue, Chris den Hoedt, stated that although the material damages can be repaired, the emotional impact on the community is profound and lasting.
