Armed attack with multiple victims in Prospect Hill, North Carolina

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Caswell County Sheriff's Office to intervene following a mass shooting that occurred on Wednesday morning on Brooks Road, Prospect Hill.

The incident resulted in the deaths of several individuals, and at least one victim was transported to Duke University Hospital with a gunshot wound. Authorities have confirmed that there is no danger to the public, as the incident was contained to the scene. SBI criminal investigators are on-site to collect evidence and interview witnesses.

The investigation is coordinated by the Caswell County Sheriff's Office, with support from several local and emergency agencies.
