On Sunday morning, the quiet town of Tehuitzingo (Mexico) was shaken by a shooting attack, resulting in 10 deaths, including six men, three women, and a child. Authorities have launched a federal investigation but have not identified any suspects, which fuels fears that cartel violence is becoming increasingly difficult to control in the state of Puebla. This incident joins a series of violent attacks in the region, including a massacre in Huehuetlán El Grande, where six people were killed in February.

Between 800 and 1,000 families have been forced to leave their homes in central Mexico due to explosive attacks launched from drones by criminal organizations in the region. Violence has escalated in the state of Guerrero, where the group Los Ardillos has attacked mountain communities, forcing thousands of people to flee, including children and the elderly. Images and videos illustrate the chaos and fear felt by locals, who left with only backpacks on their backs, while gunfire echoes in the background.
