A shooting that took place on the night of Friday to Saturday, in the city of Leland, Mississippi, shortly after a football game, resulted in the death of four people and the injury of another 12, four of whom are in critical condition.

Mayor John Lee confirmed that four injured individuals were airlifted to the hospital and that there are no suspects in custody. Lee emphasized that the town has a low crime rate and that the incident is a tragedy for the community. Another shooting occurred in Heidelberg, Mississippi, on the same night, but there is no evidence that the two incidents are related.
