The Arab leaders agreed to set up a fund for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, also calling for an international contribution to the cause.

The fund will receive financial commitments from all donor countries and financial institutions. The reconstruction plan was welcomed by Hamas, which called for support for its implementation. Egypt proposed a 53 billion dollar plan over 5 years to rebuild the Gaza Strip.
