The settlement follows allegations that Apple used contractors to analyze conversations captured by Siri, including private chats. The lawsuit was filed in 2019, and the plaintiffs allege that Apple devices improperly recorded them, sometimes without intentionally activating the virtual assistant. Apple has agreed to delete recordings collected prior to 2019.
