The Italian Authority for Competition and Market (AGCM) has declared that Apple has violated competition law by imposing restrictive conditions on app developers, having an absolutely dominant position in the App Store market. AGCM emphasizes that these conditions are imposed unilaterally and affect the interests of Apple's business partners, being disproportionate in relation to the objective of protecting users' privacy.

Recently, a coalition of 20 app developers and consumer protection organizations has urged European authorities to enforce legislation against Apple more strictly, accusing the company of disadvantaging European developers. Additionally, the European Commission has fined Apple 500 million euros for violating market regulations, accusing it of preventing developers from directing users to alternative payment methods.
