António Costa, the President of the European Council, warned that Hungary must respect the European Union's decision to grant Ukraine a loan of 90 billion euros, after Budapest blocked the payment, despite the initial agreement in December.
During a visit to Kyiv, Costa accused Hungary of 'disrespect' towards EU decisions and emphasized the importance of implementing the commitments made. Hungary has threatened to block the loan due to a dispute with Ukraine regarding a pipeline, which Budapest considers a source of energy crisis. Costa insisted that it is essential for all parties to respect the agreed agreements and called on Hungary to act in accordance with the collective decisions made in December.
