Amtrak is launching the new generation of Acela trains, which will operate on the northeast rail corridor, connecting Boston to Washington D.C. with a maximum speed of 257 km/h. These trains, part of the NextGen program, will increase transport capacity by 27% and will offer modern amenities, including free Wi-Fi and ergonomic seats. The program is the result of a federal agreement and aims to modernize American rail transport. Additionally, the inauguration of a high-speed line between Las Vegas and Los Angeles is expected in 2028.
