American Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, will arrive in Geneva on Sunday to discuss with Ukrainian officials the peace plan proposed by the U.S., aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. Additionally, U.S. Secretary of the Army, Daniel Driscoll, who has had recent meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, has already arrived in Switzerland. An informal meeting between American and Ukrainian representatives is scheduled for Saturday evening. Washington's 28-point plan, which includes demands from Russia, such as the cession of territories and renunciation of NATO membership, raises concerns in Ukraine, being perceived by some experts as a form of capitulation. European officials are also expected to participate in the discussions, but details about the format of the meetings have not yet been communicated.
