Almost 50 countries issued a joint statement at the United Nations on Tuesday, condemning Russia's threats against embassies in Ukraine. This reaction came after Russia requested the evacuation of the American embassy in Kiev, threatening with "systematic attacks" on the Ukrainian capital.

The Ukrainian representative to the UN, Andriy Melnyk, emphasized that these threats cannot be accepted. The statement was signed by European countries, Japan, South Korea, and others, but did not include the United States.

Recent Russian attacks, which involved drones and missiles, resulted in the deaths of four people and caused significant damage in Kiev. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his concern about the escalation of the conflict, highlighting the need to avoid any escalation of violence.
