Nearly 4,000 people have been evacuated from tourist areas on the Atlantic coast of France, following the intensification of wildfires caused by strong winds and extreme heat. President Emmanuel Macron described the situation as the 'most difficult' since World War II, warning that the coming weeks will be critical.

In Spain, wildfires in the province of Almería have led to the death of a woman, raising the death toll to 14. In France, the fire in the Gironde department has destroyed 42,000 hectares of forest, and firefighters fear its reignition.

In recent weeks, approximately 330,000 people have been evacuated due to wildfires in France, Spain, and Italy.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez emphasized the urgency of responding to the climate crisis, as the wildfires in the hilly area of Ávila have become the largest in Spain's history, consuming 50,000 hectares. Firefighters are facing an unprecedented situation, needing to adapt and change tactics to protect communities.
