Albania on alert after a warning from the USA regarding threats from Iran

Albania is on high alert after the United States Embassy in Tirana issued a warning regarding possible threats from groups linked to the Tehran regime, which could target American citizens and their affiliated entities.

Albanian authorities have activated all security mechanisms, and President Bajram Begaj is in constant contact with the National Security Council to assess the risks. The U.S. Embassy emphasized that not only American entities are in danger, but also members of the Iranian opposition based in Albania, urging vigilance in public spaces. At the same time, Bulgaria has confirmed receiving a warning from Iran, which requested that it not allow American military aircraft to use its airports for operations against Tehran.
