Airbus has successfully completed the software update for most A320 class aircraft quickly, after a vulnerability related to exposure to intense solar radiation was discovered, an incident that affected a JetBlue aircraft.
On Monday, the company announced that of the approximately 6,000 affected aircraft, most have been updated, leaving fewer than 100 that require modifications. Although Airbus shares fell by 3%, reaching the lowest level since October 15, analysts believe that the financial impact will be limited. Additionally, Thales, a flight computer supplier, recorded a 2% drop in shares. Airbus emphasized that intense solar radiation can affect critical data for flight controls.
