Air raid alert in Dubai after drone attack from Iran

On Monday, above Dubai, explosions were heard caused by missile interceptions, following an air raid alert triggered by the authorities in the United Arab Emirates. Residents were advised through a message on their mobile phones to seek shelter in secure buildings due to missile threats.

After a few hours, a new message informed the population that the situation was now safe and that normal activities could resume, with necessary precautions. The incident occurred in the context in which the United Arab Emirates accused Iran of launching two drones at a tanker affiliated with ADNOC in the Strait of Hormuz, deeming the attack as acts of piracy.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Iran's actions, emphasizing that they constitute a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
