Geoffrey Wall, a 59-year-old pilot for Air Canada, was arrested on June 1 following an investigation known as 'Project Icarus'.
Canadian authorities discovered that Wall had conducted over 900 flights between 2009 and 2025, without holding the necessary air transport pilot license to command commercial aircraft. Wall began his career in 1998, becoming an aircraft commander in 2009, using false licenses to mislead both Air Canada and Transport Canada.
He faces multiple charges, including fraud, forgery, and use of falsified documents. The investigation was initiated in January after irregularities were found in his documents. Wall earned nearly three million dollars during his flying time, transporting tens of thousands of passengers.
The Chair of the Peel Police Services Board emphasized the seriousness of the charges, which suggest a deliberate effort to evade public safety systems.
