Irish actor Mick Sheehan, known from season 6 of 'Game of Thrones', passed away on April 8 after a battle with motor neuron disease, an incurable condition that affects the nerves responsible for movement. The announcement was made by his wife, Naomi Sheehan, on Instagram, where she shared details about the actor's final moments, who was in palliative care.
The diagnosis was confirmed on February 1, 2023, and the disease led to the weakening and atrophy of the muscles, affecting the ability to walk, speak, and breathe. Naomi described the impact Mick had on those around him, emphasizing that he was a source of inspiration and lived a life full of joy and laughter. She thanked everyone who supported them during this difficult time and quoted a message from Brendan Behan, which reflects Mick's values: "The most important things you need to do in the world are to have something to eat, something to drink, and someone to love you."
