Gary MacDonald, at the age of 61, won 5.2 million pounds in the UK lottery and returned to his former workplace, where he worked for over 30 years, to surprise his former colleagues. After winning, he got married and moved into a new house, but he wanted to keep a promise made earlier.

MacDonald brought bouquets of flowers and Lotto tickets for his colleagues, wanting to spread joy. The manager of a store, Donna Samuels, described the reunion as an "incredible surprise" and emphasized that Gary has always been a kind and lively person. She was extremely moved by his gesture, acknowledging that he had no obligation to return. Gary stated that it was wonderful to surprise his former colleagues and that he did an excellent job spreading joy.
