On Wednesday morning, a 35-year-old man was arrested in Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron, France, after intentionally hitting several pedestrians while shouting 'Allah Akbar'. The incident occurred on a road, involving ten victims, four of whom are in a state of absolute emergency.

The suspect, known for common law offenses, attempted to set his car on fire before being arrested. The prosecutor in La Rochelle stated that the action was 'voluntary', but the motives are not confirmed, and an investigation for attempted murder has been opened. Gas canisters were found in the trunk of the suspect's car, information that is currently being verified. The man has a criminal record for inappropriate behavior and drug and alcohol use.
