A third earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 struck southeastern Afghanistan, after two others led to the death of over 2,200 people.

The southeast of Afghanistan has been hit by a new earthquake of magnitude 6.2, marking the third major quake in the region in a few days. The epicenter was in Shiwa, and damages are reported in Barkashkot. The death toll from the recent earthquakes exceeds 2,200 dead and 3,600 injured, and humanitarian needs are rapidly increasing.
