On Sunday, a strong earthquake of magnitude 5.4 occurred in the northwest of Turkey, with the epicenter in Simav, Kutahya province, at a depth of 8 kilometers. The earthquake, felt over a wide area, including Istanbul, was followed by a tremor of 4 degrees. Although people fled their homes, authorities confirmed that there were no casualties or significant damage.
