On Friday, an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale occurred in northern Iran, according to the USGS. The epicenter was located 10 km deep, near the city of Semnan. The quake was also felt in Tehran and nearby cities, but no casualties were reported and property damage was minimal, with only one house damaged, according to IRNA.
