Over half of Romanians believe that PSD, PNL and UDMR should be part of the next Government, according to the Informat.ro - INSCOP Research BAROMETER conducted between May 26-30, 2025.


BAROMETER Informat.ro - INSCOP Research is a monthly opinion poll conducted by INSCOP Research commissioned by the news platform Informat.ro in partnership with the think-tank Strategic Thinking Group.

The Informat.ro - INSCOP ResearchBAROMETER aims to bring to public attention topics of interest to stimulate national conversations on various topics and public policies essential for Romania's present and future based on the opinion of Romanians in partnership with prestigious think tanks and academic institutions. It is an approach through which we aim to contribute to the consolidation of democracy through the use of scientific and credible tools that bring the voice of citizens to the forefront of public debate.

Methodology: Data was collected between May 26-30, 2025. Research method: questionnaire interview. Data were collected using the CATI method (telephone interviews), the simple stratified sample size was 1150 persons, representative by significant socio-demographic categories (sex, age, occupation) for the non-institutionalized population of Romania, aged 18 years and over. The maximum permissible error of the data is ± 2.9%, at a 95% confidence level.

Policy composition of the future government

Police were asked to indicate for each parliamentary party whether they think it should be part of the future government.

Thus, 59.5% of Romanians think that the PNL should be part of the future government, while 37.4% think the opposite.

As for the PSD, 54.6% of those polled believe that the social-democratic party should be part of the next government. 43.7% think that the party led by Sorin Grindeanu should remain outside the cabinet.

52.9% of those polled think that the UDMR should be part of the future government, while 44.4% think the opposite.

49.5% of those polled are in favor of USR entering the government, while 49.2% are opposed to such a scenario.

48.9% of those polled think the AUR should be part of the next government, while 47.2% think the party should remain outside the cabinet.

43.3% of respondents think that POT should be part of the next government, while 51.8% think the opposite.

With regard to SOS Romania, 31.4% of those polled think that the party led by Diana Șoșoaca should be part of the future government. 63.1% think the party should remain outside the cabinet.
