The World Health Organization has reported an alarming increase in measles cases in Europe, attributed to a drop in MMR vaccinations.

The number of measles cases has increased significantly in Europe, reaching 42,200 people infected in 2023. The WHO believes this is the result of low vaccination of children against the disease during the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization stresses the importance of vaccination in preventing the spread of the disease.
