The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, declared that the new Health Insurance IT Platform (PIAS) will be fully operational by August 2026, facilitating digital access to patients' medical history from their phone or computer. The project, with an investment of 100 million euros funded through PNRR, will eliminate paper forms and will transform referrals, medical letters, and sick leaves into fully digital documents. The first modules of the platform will be functional by the end of this year. Rogobete emphasized his team's commitment to providing a modern and efficient healthcare system, stating that patients deserve such a system. The National Health Insurance House (CNAS) ensured that PIAS will remain operational until the new platform is implemented, thus responding to the recommendations of the Court of Accounts to adapt the system to current digitalization requirements.
