The government led by Ilie Bolojan is proposing a wide-ranging reform of the healthcare system, focused on increasing the quality and efficiency of medical services. Measures include standardizing day hospitalisation, adjusting hospital tariffs, abolishing the personal contribution in private hospitals and revising hospital classification. Severe penalties will be applied for fictitious reporting and hospital management will be rigorously evaluated. Outpatient care will also be developed and the mobility of medical staff will be encouraged through specific programs.
