The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, declared on Friday that the network of Advanced Surveillance and Treatment Units for Critically Ill Cardiac Patients (AP-USTACC) will be expanded with four more hospitals, thus reaching 29 units dedicated to patients in critical cardiac situations. The new units will be located in the Brașov County Emergency Clinical Hospital, the 'Dr. Constantin Andreoiu' County Emergency Hospital in Ploiești, the Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital, and the Deva County Emergency Hospital.
These structures are essential for patients with myocardial infarction, severe arrhythmias, or other cardiovascular emergencies, where every minute counts. The expansion is carried out through the National Program of Priority Actions - AP-USTACC, which provides funding for medications and materials necessary for the care of critically ill patients. Rogobete emphasized the importance of rapid access to hospitals prepared for immediate interventions, stating that every step in this direction increases patient safety and the chances of effective treatment.
