Capoeira, a martial art and dance originating in Brazil, is used by Parkinson's patients to relieve symptoms of the disease. Nilma Teles de Freitas, diagnosed with Parkinson's, noticed significant improvements after she started attending capoeira classes. The project, initiated by physiotherapist Rosimeire Peixoto, focuses on the benefits of this practice in improving balance, coordination and strength, while providing a stimulating and relaxing environment for participants.
