Dolj County is facing an epidemiological alert after 131 cases of hepatitis A have been recorded.

In the locality of Amărăștii de Jos, 27 cases have been confirmed, and in Craiova, 55 people are infected. Authorities have initiated epidemiological investigations and have purchased 165 doses of hepatitis vaccine for adults and children, in the context where hepatitis A is transmitted through the consumption of contaminated water or food or through contact with infected individuals.
