The National Health Insurance House has implemented new measures as of August 1, maintaining non-contributory insured status for certain categories, including children, pensioners with incomes below 3,000 lei and cancer patients. Other groups will pay 10% CASS. Changes have also been made to the payment of sick leave, and allowances will vary according to the number of days of sick leave. Co-insured persons and monastic staff can opt to pay contributions to maintain their insured status.
