Health Minister Rogobete has announced that 15 hospitals are under construction in Romania with funds from the PNRR, 12 of which will be financed by grants and 3 by credit. This is the first time in 35 years that so many new hospitals are being built. However, 5 health facilities will not receive funding due to delays in tenders and challenges. Romania has also kept funding for cancer screening equipment purchased through a Norwegian-funded program.
