In recent weeks, online sources have been paying increasing attention to festivals, emphasizing the big events taking place both in the capital, as well as on the seaside and in other cities in the country. These include Neversea Kapital, organized at the National Arena, Foreversea in Mamaia - which attracted more than 10,000 spectators on the Nautic beach, Beach, Please! - considered one of the biggest events of its kind in Europe, and the Festival of Hearts in Timișoara, which brought together over 1,000 artists from 13 countries, bringing folklore performances and parades to several neighborhoods of the city.

The analysis of their online impact was carried out using NewsVibe, an AI-based social listening tool, which works as an integrated media tracking AI system. In the last week alone, there were 1,837 mentions of the festivals, with an estimated visibility of around 16 million views. The peaks of online interest can be seen between July 4-6, when Bucharest and Mamaia hosted Neversea Kapital and Foreversea in parallel, which gathered tens of thousands of spectators. At Neversea Kapital, international artists such as Lost Frequencies, Steve Aoki and Salvatore Ganacci took to the stage, the latter with special guest Florin Salam.

During the same period, media attention was also focused on the overlapping of the Dinamo-FCSB match with the Festobal manele festival. Interest in the Beach, Please! festival in Costinești, scheduled for July 9-13, was also heightened by discussions and concerns about public safety and the messages promoted by some artists, following controversy generated by previous editions.

Analyzing the most frequently mentioned entities in online conversations about festivals, the Neversea Kapital, held at the Arena Națională in Bucharest, was the event with the highest visibility in the last period. Other cities generating high interest included Timișoara and Cluj-Napoca, the latter linked to the Jazz in the Park festival. Sibiu also features in the top mentions thanks to the International Theater Festival and the Romanian-American Music Days. Also in Sibiu county, the commune of Gura Râului is attracting attention with the Bujorul de Munte Festival, which has generated considerable local discussion.

The most visible sources reporting on festivals in the past week represent a mix of local publications and news sites with national coverage. The top positions are occupied by Sibiul în Imagini, Sibiu Independent and Mesagerul de Sibiu, which intensively cover events in the Sibiu area. Among the publications with national coverage are AMOSNEWS, G4Media, Jurnalul and EVZ.ro, together with Revista Biz, a publication with an economic profile. At the same time, Zi de Zi and TurdaNews closely followed festivals and local initiatives in Mureș and Cluj counties, and the list is completed by B365.ro and Radio România Muzical, which maintained public interest.

The tone of the online conversation around the music festivals monitored in the last week is polarized, predominantly positive, with 53% of mentions rated as such by the NewsVibe software, while only 44% of references were rated as neutral, showing a steady interest and low level of controversy. Only 3% of discussions had a negative tone, indicating that overall public perception remains generally favorable and enthusiastic about the events analyzed.

At the local press level, the counties of Sibiu, Cluj, Constanța, Mureș, Arad and Timiș stand out with the highest coverage of festival-related topics, indicating a high interest from regional newsrooms, especially for local events. Overall, there is a concentration of media activity mainly in the center and west of the country, while the south and south-east only receive more media coverage in the context of festivals on the coast.
