In the last 24 hours, online searches in Romania have shown an increased interest in topics related to sports, politics, current events and public figures.

Sport dominated online searches, with matches from the Club World Cup particularly targeted. The match between Inter and River Plate was the most searched topic, boosted by incidents during the match and the presence of Cristi Chivu in a tense moment on the pitch. Searches covered both the conduct of the match and the reactions or consequences of the incidents.

Matches involving Borussia Dortmund, Fluminense, Monterrey and Urawa Reds also generated interest. Romanians searched for information on results, schedule, standings and possible opponents.

Information was also sought about England's match against the Netherlands in the semi-finals of the U21 European Championship. Searches focused on the final score, decisive players and highlights of the match.

Internally, Dinamo were the team that was intensely searched, in the context of the changes to the Superliga fixture schedule and the dispute over the stadium for the clash with FCSB.

In the political area, Romanians continued to search for information about Delia Dinu and her appointment as presidential advisor and in the term of office of President Nicușor Dan. This search was part of a wider interest in President Nicușor Dan's new team of advisers, with other names such as Cristian Diaconescu also being targeted.

Florin Manole, the Minister of Labor, and his visit to the Pension House were also searched for, in the context of the recalculation of pensions and problems with the functioning of the software responsible for this process. Users were interested to know whether the computer system will be able to cope with the high volume of updates and payments, as well as the logistical and institutional obstacles that may lead to delays.

In the current events, a major theme was National Flag Day. Romanians were looking for details about the significance of June 26, the events organized on the occasion and symbolic demonstrations, such as those held on Omu Peak by the Invictus military.

Another topic of interest was the publication of the correction scale for the Mathematics test of the National Assessment 2025.

In addition, there was also research on school scholarships, in the context of the announced changes in the awarding system, the impact of these changes and the official statements justifying the decisions.

Romanians were also interested in information about jobs in the budgetary system. A frequently searched topic was related to public sector employees' perception of job stability.

The searches on public personalities focused on Mihaela Tatu and her reaction in the case of young Teodora Marcu, shot in the street. Interest was focused on the way the former TV presenter spoke publicly about the emotional impact of the event and the attitudes of those who commented in the public space about the incident, especially other women.
