The sporting landscape has been marked by a pre-competition ebullience, with historical rivalries, individual successes and administrative conflicts attracting attention. The tensions surrounding the legal dispute between CSA Steaua and FCSB, Cristi Chivu's performances as coach of Italian side Inter Milan and Mitriță's start at his new team in China, as well as the administrative scandals at Rapid, point to a turbulent period ahead of the start of the new competitive season.

- Nico Williams: Athletic Bilbao oppose the transfer of Nico Williams to Barcelona. Although the Catalans have reached an agreement with the player and agreed to pay the termination clause worth €62 million, Bilbao has complained to La Liga and the Spanish Federation, citing irregularities in the transaction.
