According to the aggregated data analyzed with the help of NewsVibe, an AI platform for real-time media monitoring, in the first week of the year 2026, the number of online mentions about parties is low, with no party exceeding the threshold of 1,000 mentions in the most relevant online sources. PSD leads the ranking with just over 600 mentions, while UDMR closes the list with only 68 mentions — one of the very rare moments when a party registers under 100 mentions in a week.

The first days of the new year were dominated by external themes, especially in the context of events in Venezuela, which captured the media agenda. The media coverage of internal political actors was visibly reduced, partly due to the decreased presence of leaders and parties in the public space, both through direct messages and through visible actions or initiatives.
