A total of 1,001,429 Romanians in the Diaspora had already voted by 1pm on Sunday, compared to 973,129 who voted in the first round in total, i.e. by 9pm.

Italy, Germany and the UK top the ranking of countries with the highest turnout of Romanians abroad, confirming the trend of increased mobilization in large communities. Voting in the diaspora is taking place over three days, from Friday to Sunday, and will end on Sunday at 21:00 (Romanian time), at the same time as the polls close in the country.
