Remus Ștefureac, director of INSCOP Research, expects a significant increase in voter turnout in the second round of the May 18 presidential elections, estimating a turnout of 63%, compared to 50% in the first round. He points out that the gap between the candidates has narrowed and debates are key to attracting new voters. The sociologist anticipates that the elections will be close, with intense mobilization on both sides, similar to the second round in 2014.
