In the first seven hours after polling stations opened in Romania, 4,514,571 Romanians voted. Of these, 2,572,394 were in urban areas and 1,942,177 in rural areas.
In comparison, in the first seven hours of the 2019 presidential elections, in the first round, 4,555,343 ( in urban areas there were 2,707.473 votes, and in rural areas there were 1,847,870 ).
In the 2024 presidential elections, in the first round, in the first seven hours, 4,456,185 Romanians voted in the first seven hours (in urban areas there were 2,486,598 votes, and in rural areas there were 1,969,587 votes.)
