In the first hour after the opening of polling stations in Romania, 227,054 Romanians voted, fewer than in the first round of the 2019 presidential elections and far fewer than in the 2024 European Parliament elections.

In the first hour after polling stations opened in Romania, 227,054 Romanians voted. Of these, 121,212 were in urban areas and 105,842 in rural areas.
In comparison, in the first hour of the 2019 presidential elections, 258,785 Romanians voted in the first round (145,431 in urban areas and 113,354 in rural areas).
In the first hour of the 2024 European Parliament elections, 368,866 Romanians voted in the first hour (159,257 in urban areas and 209,609 in rural areas).
