Babeș-Bolyai University will increase admission and tuition fees starting in 2026, but current students will not be affected.

UBB from Cluj-Napoca has announced that the increase in admission and tuition fees will come into effect in the academic year 2026-2027, however current students will not be affected by these changes. The new fees will only apply to students starting their first year in the autumn of 2026, in accordance with legal requirements and the contract with the Ministry of Education. UBB has kept fees at a minimum level during the pandemic and continues to offer social, merit-based scholarships, and subsidies to support students. The proposed changes have been discussed with student representatives and will be voted on in the University Senate. UBB is committed to supporting students through various forms of funding and special scholarships.
