According to the Ministry of Education and Research, between September and December 2025, 367 teaching staff resigned from pre-university education, of which 114 were tenured or novice, and 253 were employed on a fixed-term basis. Additionally, 56 teaching staff are working with incomplete norms in the 2025-2026 school year, including 45 tenured and 11 employed for the duration of the position's viability.
The interpellation by the AUR deputy concerned the number of those who accepted a reduction in teaching hours and the impact of the Bolojan Law on resignations. The Ministry explained that teaching positions are established according to the framework plans for education, and teachers can choose not to conduct all classes, which leads to a reduction in salary rights and work seniority. This procedure is regulated by the framework methodology for the placement of teachers in the 2025-2026 school year.
