Scott Bessent said about 100 countries will be subject to a minimum 10% tariff, and he expects trade activity to pick up in the coming days, especially ahead of the July 9 deadline. The Trump administration is negotiating with numerous partners, including India and the European Union, to reduce tariffs. Recently, an agreement with Vietnam cut tariffs on Vietnamese goods to 20%.
