Donald Trump stated that gasoline prices will drop rapidly after the end of the war, while officials in his administration justify the easing of sanctions on Russian oil. This decision was made following the increase in gasoline prices caused by the conflict in Iran. The U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, described the waiver granted to India for purchasing Russian oil as a goodwill measure intended to stabilize global markets.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright emphasized that the waiver will help alleviate concerns about oil shortages. Additionally, the administration is considering lifting other sanctions on Russian oil shipments without affecting sanctions related to Ukraine.

Currently, the average price of gasoline has risen significantly, and officials state that the increases are temporary and do not reflect a global oil shortage. The Energy Minister of Qatar warned that even if the war were to end, energy exports could take time to return to normal due to attacks on infrastructure.
