According to Eurostat data, the vacancy rate in the European Union decreased to 2% in the third quarter of 2025, down from 2.1% in the previous quarter and 2.3% in the same period of 2024. Romania recorded the lowest rate at 0.6%, followed by Bulgaria and Poland (0.8%) and Spain (0.9%). In contrast, the Netherlands had the highest rate at 4.1%. In the euro area, the vacancy rate was 2.1%, down from 2.3% in the previous quarter. Compared to Q3 2024, the rate increased in three member states, remained stable in four, and decreased in 20. In Romania, the number of job vacancies was 31,600, 300 more than in the previous quarter, but 8,300 fewer than in Q3 2024, and the rate was estimated at 0.62%.
