The price of Brent crude oil recorded a decrease of 0.6%, equivalent to 54 cents, reaching 94.94 dollars per barrel, while the American West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell by 1.2%, or 1.11 dollars, to 88.50 dollars. This decline comes after significant increases of 5.6% for Brent and 6.9% for WTI in the previous session, when prices were influenced by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the seizure of an Iranian ship by the U.S. Iran is considering the possibility of participating in peace talks in Islamabad, but has not made a final decision, citing violations of the ceasefire by the U.S. as an obstacle. The Strait of Hormuz, crucial for 20% of international oil flow, was transited by approximately 130 ships the previous day.
