According to the data from the National Bank of Romania, the deposits of resident non-governmental clients recorded an increase of 1.5% in November 2025, reaching 649.111 billion lei, and a rise of 5.6% compared to the same period of the previous year. Deposits in lei, which constitute 68.1% of the total, increased by 1.7% compared to October 2025, reaching 441.864 billion lei. Households contributed with a growth of 1.2% in deposits in lei, while foreign currency deposits increased by 1.1% compared to the previous month, representing 31.9% of the total. Compared to November 2024, foreign currency deposits increased by 16% in lei and 13.4% in euro. This trend reflects a stability in the savings of the population and other sectors, despite some annual fluctuations.
