According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, the average net salary in October 2025 was 5,492 lei, an increase of 49 lei (+0.9%) compared to September 2025. The highest earnings were observed in the IT sector, with 11,810 lei, and in air transport, with 10,739 lei. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the salary increased by 4.3%.

The average gross salary was 9,152 lei, with a similar increase. The index of real salary was 95% compared to October 2024, but 100.4% compared to the previous month. Salary increases were influenced by the granting of occasional bonuses, and the most significant increases were recorded in computer manufacturing (+12.9%). In the public sector, increases were observed in education, public administration, and health.
