Romgaz recorded a record net profit of 3.34 billion lei in 2025, thus surpassing the earnings of other major companies in the Romanian energy sector, such as Hidroelectrica and OMV Petrom. This performance places Romgaz in the top position in the ranking of energy companies in Romania. The company's consolidated revenues increased by almost 2%, reaching 8.7 billion lei, while total expenses decreased by 1.4%. The net profit growth of 4.4% compared to 2024 was supported by natural gas sales, which increased by over 5%. Although gas production and electricity generation decreased, Romgaz compensated through higher deliveries and a reduction in tax expenses. The net profit margin reached over 41% of the turnover, highlighting the company's efficiency in cost management.
