The interim Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, announced on Monday that the markets and investors had a favorable reaction after the reaffirmation of Romania's rating by Moody's.
Following the announcement, the yields on Romanian government bonds decreased significantly, and investors wanted to buy 2.6 times more bonds than the amount planned by the Ministry of Finance. Nazare emphasized that the high demand demonstrates the increased interest of investors in Romanian government bonds.
He also mentioned that Moody's decision was well received, reflecting investors' confidence in Romania's ability to finance itself. Nazare concluded that, with balance and responsibility, Romania will "not only be able to maintain the current rating but also return to a 'stable' outlook."
