A sociological research conducted for the platform despre-energie.ro shows that 82% of Romanians have implemented measures to reduce energy consumption in the last year, with the aim of lowering bills. 92% of respondents declare that they will intensify these efforts in the next 12 months. Specifically, 57% of interviewees plan to rethink their consumption habits, and nearly 30% believe that simple measures, such as turning off lights, are effective. 33% intend to replace old appliances with energy-efficient ones, and 27% will install photovoltaic panels. Although 28% believe that installing LED bulbs is a solution, 5% still use incandescent bulbs. The costs of investments in energy efficiency are a barrier for 52% of respondents, but financial support from the state could change this perception. The study was conducted on a sample of 1,029 online users, with a margin of error of +/-3%.
